Switching Languages

AIIA supports English (LTR) and Arabic (RTL) interfaces. Switch between languages at any time — your preference is saved to your profile.

How to Switch

Method 1 — Settings Menu

1. Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner
2. Go to Settings → Language
3. Select English or العربية (Arabic)
4. The interface reloads in the selected language

Method 2 — Keyboard Shortcut

Press Alt + L to toggle between English and Arabic.

Method 3 — URL Parameter

Add ?locale=ar or ?locale=en to any AIIA URL to load that language.

What Changes

When you switch languages:

• All UI labels, buttons, and navigation switch to the selected language
• The layout direction changes (LTR for English, RTL for Arabic)
• Date and number formats adapt to locale conventions
• Content you've entered (findings, workpapers) stays in the original language

What Stays the Same

• Your data content (text you typed) remains in whatever language it was entered
• Code, API responses, and technical identifiers remain in English
• Other users' language preference is independent of yours

Arabic Interface

The Arabic interface is fully RTL (right-to-left):

• Sidebar appears on the right side
• Text alignment is right-aligned
• Navigation flows right-to-left
• Calendars use Hijri date display option
