Troubleshooting — Fieldwork
Workpaper Issues
I can't create a workpaper
- You need the Auditor, Manager, or CAE role
- The engagement must exist and you must have access to it
- Check that the engagement is in Fieldwork phase or later
Review fails with "SoD violation"
You cannot review your own workpaper. Assign a different user as reviewer. The system enforces that preparer_id ≠ reviewer_id.
Workpaper content isn't saving
- Check your internet connection
- Ensure you're clicking Save (auto-save may be disabled)
- If the session has expired, log in again — unsaved changes may be lost
Evidence Issues
Evidence upload fails
| Error | Solution |
|---|---|
| "File too large" | Maximum 50MB per file |
| "Unsupported format" | PDF, Word, Excel, Images, ZIP supported |
| "Virus detected" | File flagged by scanner — do not upload |
| "Storage full" | Contact admin to check MinIO storage |
| "Permission denied" | Only Auditor/Manager/CAE can upload |
Evidence shows "PENDING" scan status
The virus scan is still in progress. Wait a few moments and refresh. Large files may take longer to scan.
Can I delete uploaded evidence?
No. Evidence is immutable after upload to maintain chain-of-custody. Upload the correct file and note the error in the workpaper.
Test Procedure Issues
AI test procedure suggestions are irrelevant
- Ensure the engagement has risks and controls linked
- Provide more context in the workpaper objective
- Check that the AI model is properly configured
- Use more specific engagement control descriptions
Test procedure can't link to a control
- Check that engagement controls exist for this engagement
- The control must have been created before the test procedure
- Navigate to the engagement's Controls tab to verify
