Troubleshooting — Annual Planning
Common Issues
Cannot create a new plan
Cause: Missing plan:create permission.
Solution: Ensure you have the CAE or Manager role.
Plan items show "0" priority score
Cause: Universe items don't have risk assessments attached. Solution: Navigate to the Audit Universe and add risk ratings (likelihood × impact) to the linked entities.
Resource calendar not loading
Cause: No auditors configured in the organization. Solution: Add users with the Auditor role in Administration → Users.
Capacity shows >100% but I didn't overallocate
Cause: The same auditor is assigned to overlapping plan items in the same quarter. Solution: Adjust planned quarters or reassign one of the overlapping items.
Plan approval email not received
Cause: Notification settings may be disabled. Solution: Check Administration → Notifications to ensure email notifications are enabled for the CAE role.
AI planning suggestions are empty
Cause: Insufficient data for AI analysis. Solution: The AI needs at least 10 universe items with risk assessments and 1+ completed engagements to generate meaningful suggestions.

PLAN-001 | "Plan for this year already exists" | Only one plan per fiscal year; revise the existing plan |
PLAN-002 | "Cannot approve your own plan" | SoD: plan creator cannot approve (CAE/Manager must be different) |
PLAN-003 | "Plan items reference deleted universe items" | Remove or update plan items pointing to archived entities |
PLAN-004 | "Resource overallocation detected" | Resolve auditor overallocation before submitting |
